Are you brave enough to get married on 31st October? Dare you risk invoking demonic spirits on your wedding day? With over ten years as wedding caterers we are yet to encounter a couple brave enough to take the plunge on the spookiest day of the year.
We are taking our mobile crepe cart to a wedding in Surrey on 30th October but the wedding finishes at midnight. Maybe it’s licensing laws; maybe it’s venue regulations; or maybe the couple just don’t want to take the risk. But when the ghosts come out to play on the 31st, the wedding will officially be over.
We know a chap socially who deliberately chose to get married one Friday the 13th a few years back. He sees himself as a bit of a “bad boy” (and he’s got the tattoos to prove it) but even he didn’t have the nerve to tie the knot on Halloween (we provided crepes as a wedding present and thankfully we were able to get through the day without incident.)
Halloween would of course be a great occasion for trying special flavours like spiced pumpkin pancakes (which are absolutely massive in America at this time of year), so we make this offer to any couples brave/crazy enough to get married on 31st October : at no extra charge, we will include spiced pumpkin flavour on the menu as a Halloween Special at your wedding. We draw the line at “eye of frog and tail of newt”, and bats are a protected species under The Conservation Regulations 1994, so none of those options would be available as wedding crepe flavours. But spiced pumpkin – no problem.
So if you want something unique and relevant at your wedding, and if you like the sound of a mobile creperie, providing tasty, scary treats at your wedding, get in touch.
If you dare…
