Some people want their wedding to “rock”. Others are looking for a wedding with a bit of bounce. One thing which crops up from time to time at weddings we attend is the good old bouncy castle.
As we all know, they’ve been around for years and years and were inevitably going to find their way onto the wedding scene at some point. That point would have been the 1980’s, most probably. Yet the bouncy castle is still going strong.
We’ve obviously seen them at festivals, randomly set up alongside a crepe van, but at weddings, with our mobile creperie, we have also been side by side with the odd giant bouncy castle.
Every bride who hires one will immediately think of it being fun for kids to play on, but as we all know, even adults can be tempted to give it a go. Particularly after a glass or two of wedding wine. One thing we would advise though, is do not take your crepe onto the castle with you – you may end up with nutella or sugar & lemon all over your wedding attire.
Although the bouncy castles we have seen do look a bit better than the grimy old fairground versions you have undoubtedly seen, we think it would be good if someone made a wedding-specific version.
Perhaps one which looked a bit more like a wedding castle (there are plenty in Scotland to model it from) that had plenty of white on it. Or it could be a church. Anything wedding-related really, rather than fairground style. A fairground would probably be more associated with a candy floss catering option, so as we are mobile crepe operators, we’d like to see a wedding specific castle to go with our wedding specific crepe stand.
It would certainly help make your wedding have a bit of bounce.
